Interactive Producer/Developer (Singapore)

QUALIFICATIONS & BACKGROUND

• At least 1 Year in the Interactive or Multimedia industry.

• Primary skills: Planning and producing websites.

• Secondary skills: Interacting with clients, managing tasks, priorities, and timelines.

• Must have a mastery in the area of website production – from design to deployment.

Summary

The Producer (PR) works with the Planning team to develop websites and convert visual designs into HTML templates, navigation and code. The PR works with clients to populate the website with content and resolve production issues.

The PR reports to the Project Manager on a project level and is part of the Interactive Department headed by the Director of IT.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Converting visual designs into HTML and developing site navigation. As such, the PR must possess the following skills:

  • Working knowledge of design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Mastery of HTML production tools (e.g. Macromedia Fireworks & Dreamweaver).

  • Mastery of HTML coding (includes CSS and Javascript)

• Populating content for the website and linking items. This involves the layout and creation of HTML pages. The PR must maintain a disciplined and organised approach to putting together a website.
  
  
• Assist the Project Manager to ensure correct, quality work and delivery to the agreed schedule and deliverables. The PR must demonstrate a meticulous attention to details and ensure consistency throughout the website.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Planning team in planning the communications strategy for Interactive projects. This requires a keen desire to understand the project objectives and attributes such as audience, message, medium, and outcome.

• Assist the Planning team in setting the direction for artwork (visual design) and functional specifications (technical design) with the lead designer & developer.

• Assist the Planning team in developing proposals and communicating concepts and ideas to clients with the objective of obtaining client’s buy-in and setting expectations for deliverables.

• Liaising with the client in the absence of the Directors or Accounts Servicing staff and ensuring that any requests from the client are immediately communicated to the relevant individual.

• Working with the Project Manager to prioritise tasks and deliverables and ensure milestones are met. Bringing any prospective delays to the attention to the Project Manager with proposed solutions.
